Stella Croatica Production
Step into the production of Stella Croatica, a place where tradition, aromas, and handmade work come together into an authentic experience of making Dalmatian sweets. Our production workshop is the first stop for visitors, where they can watch the manual preparation of pastries following centuries-old recipes.
Aromas and Emotions
Upon entering, you will immediately feel the enchanting scents of figs, almonds, lavender, and oranges. Our hardworking local women carefully and lovingly prepare:
- Smokvenjak – a traditional Christmas cake made from figs, almonds, and walnuts
- Arancine – candied peels of homemade oranges
- Sugar-coated almonds and various homemade cookies
Sustainability and Safety
In our production processes, we adhere to the highest safety and hygiene standards.
Our guiding principle: maximum utilization of every ingredient – orange peels are used for arancine, pulp for marmalades, and juice for cookies.
Herba Croatica Cosmetics and Food Supplements
Over the years, Stella Croatica has moved toward the zero waste idea, aiming to fully utilize the fruits from our gardens and orchards. This is how the Herba Croatica brand was born.
Herba Croatica designs and produces food supplements in its own laboratory. In cooperation with the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology and the School of Medicine in Split, the Mediterranean Factor was developed.
Mediterranean Factor (MF®)
The Mediterranean Factor (MF®) is a protected innovative Herba formula that adds value to products by enhancing the effect of all ingredients. It is proven to help alleviate various ailments, strengthen the body, and positively influence the immune system and health maintenance.
The plants that make up the Mediterranean Factor – extracts of grape seeds and skins, olive leaves, and pomegranate fruit – are part of the native Mediterranean flora, rich in biologically active components that beneficially affect the human body.
MF Essence Cosmetics
In the Stella Croatica laboratory, the MF Essence cosmetic products were created based on typical Mediterranean plants – lavender, immortelle (smilje), olive, iris, rose, and jasmine. Production takes place under strict laboratory conditions, respecting all relevant regulations and procedures.
These products are characterized by a focus on ingredient quality, continuous development and formulation improvement in collaboration with European experts, and a small-scale production to ensure top quality of the final product.
