Dalmatian Ethno Village
An Authentic Story of the Dalmatian Hinterland
The ethno village within the Stella Croatica complex is a living ethnographic collection that shows what life looked like in the Dalmatian hinterland at the beginning of the last century. Built from traditional materials – stone and wood – this complex was created with the expert support of the Ethnographic Museum in Split and offers a unique, unified experience of the ambiance, traditions, and gastronomy of the Dalmatian hinterland.
Mediterranean Gastronomy in the Heart of the Ethno Village
Our small kitchen offers only traditional dishes and natural juices, along with the essential local wines and liqueurs. It provides a culinary experience that combines healthy Mediterranean cuisine, local ingredients, and authentic recipes from Dalmatia.
The heart of the ethno village is the tavern, which offers local Dalmatian dishes served in the square of the family estate, in a beautiful courtyard.

Experiences to Remember

Try homemade bread baked under the iron bell
Experience the ritual of preparing bread under the iron bell – an authentic Dalmatian baking method that leaves an unforgettable taste and aroma. Every bite reveals to guests the historical gastronomy and traditional culinary techniques.

Gardens with Aaromatic Herbs
The ethno village is surrounded by small gardens with Mediterranean aromatic herbs used in our kitchen. They also create a picturesque setting where the colors and scents of the Mediterranean come together. Take a walk and enjoy the aromas of thyme, rosemary, lavender, and other herbs – a true agrotourism experience.
Authentic (hinterland) Room – a Ttribute to the Housewife
A special atmosphere is created by a reconstructed bedroom equipped with traditional household items – thanks to a cooperation with the Ethnographic Museum in Split.
This room is a kind of tribute to the woman, as the one who, as the saying goes in Dalmatia, held at least three corners of the house. All the items in the bedroom, which were part of everyday life, are carefully presented with texts explaining their purpose. This space always leaves visitors breathless and is a perfect backdrop for photo memories.
